The German Iaido Federation
The German Iaido Federation e.V. (DIaiB) was founded on August 25, 2001 as a successor to the DIV (German Iaido Association) by the state associations of North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria and Berlin as well as other associations in Bad Kreuznach.
The German Iaido Federation e.V. (DIaiB) is federalist, non-partisan, non-profit, and as an umbrella organization should represent the interests of Iaido at federal level in cooperation with the state associations. The tasks include the training of trainers, examiners, competition judges as well as the implementation of federal courses, internationally recognized Dan exams and competitions.
These courses are supervised by senior and long-time trainers or international guests.
The members form the basis of the structure, whereby they can influence the work of the associations concerned at any time through your association, which is represented by delegates to the regional associations. This ensures that the majority of the members can represent your interests. The statutes of the German Iaido Bund eV (DIaiB) can be downloaded together with further information in the media library.
Through the cooperation of the DIaiB with the German Kendo Federation (DKenB) we are represented internationally in the European Kendo Federation (EKF) and the International Kendo Federation (FIK). All exams held within the scope of the DIaiB are internationally recognized. By joining as an extraordinary member of the German Judo Association, we are affiliated to the German Olympic Sports Association (DOSB).
